K-pop, which is a popular genre of music from South Korea, has a strong following. Music is influenced by many different styles and genres everywhere.
The Korean music industry consists of groups, bands, and soloists/solo artists. There are many famous groups of this kind, such as BTS, ENHYPEN, STRAY KIDS, Twice, Kep1er, Tomorrow x Together, etc.
Korea is home to a variety of famous brands, including Blackpink, EXO, and Nmixx. It's hard to leave the world of Kpop once you become a fan. it is different from the rest It makes me different from the rest because the concept of the music is so unique compared to others. Also their are people not only from Korea also from places like Thailand, America, Australia ,Japan and more.
'dance, electronic, electropop, hip hop, rock, and R&B music originating in South Korea"
a somewhat catchy genre, its bands usually consists of attractive groups of both gender. Through the Internet it has gained worldwide popularity. Being in korean, it has been untested if its fans understand korean or they have no idea what the songs are about. Described by the Times as 'catchy but derivative' it is possibly the shallowest form of music ever to gain popularity. Known to cause various facebook posts, usually in all caps, about how much they heart k-pop. The names of the bands are ridiculous, such as 'Big Bang', 'Girls Generation' and '2pm'. These are, respectively, a scientific theory explaining the expansion of the universe, a process of which girls generate, and a time in the afternoon when eating may be considered 'a late lunch'. These are the meanings of the names obeying grammar, but may have some other meaning to the South Koreans, but one can only fathom what they think it means. These are still ridiculous names compared to the names of other, non-korean bands.
The description above contains opinions. Everyone is entitled on their own.
So into Koreanpop culture that you don't know anything about your own native pop culture anymore or at least lost complete interest in it. You're now only interested in all things Korean.
Teacher: I constantly see you listening to your ipod. So what songs are hot now besides Lady Gaga?
Student: (Long silence)
Other Student: He's been K-popped. He only knows Korean pop songs now.
A terrible genre of music that originated from South Korea, bands like: BTS, Blackpink and many others make music that just sounds so forced and fake. Many of their fans are really toxic as well, especially in Korea.
(Everybody hates K-Pop anyways so, idk what I'm talking about here. lmao
K-pop is Korean pop music. having been gained popularity by the miraculous thing called the Internet, K-pop has been renowned worldwide for it's unique talent.
K-pop usually has music videos involving choreography, Multiple group members, and extremely attractive people. (Nevertheless, it also has it's share of solo artists.)
K-pop artists also have fanbases based on them, such as Sβ₯NES, (Who are SNSDs' fanbase) They tend to get a bit pissed off when someone badmouths a certain artist.
People have their opinion on which music they like the best, But it is not fair for ANYONE to trash someones' preferred music genre. Even though I am A K-pop fan, I respect the American music industry (Except for some artists) and I'm disgusted how we treat each other this way. Have some decency.
Hey you gonna watch the new SNSD video tonight? Their singing ability is amazing, IMO
