1. In southwestern Washington State, a male teenager who uses a stereotypical version of the redneck way of life as an excuse to chew tobacco, get drunk and have sex out in the woods as often as possible, speak with a fake Southern accent, stop bathing, regularly wear filthy Carhartts and hunting clothes to school, and desperately cling to racist, misogynist and/or homophobic ideas. They are hopelessly ignorant of the fact that genuine rednecks are not always prejudiced and do not necessarily engage in all of the aforementioned activities.
2. A female teenager from the same region of Washington who wears anything with the words "Rebel Bitch" on it as an excuse to be anything other than a decent human being, and, like her male counterparts, as an excuse to get drunk and have sex in the woods. Also ignorant of the fact that genuine redneck females can be perfectly nice people and don't necessarily drink.

A person from a rural area, most often white. They are afraid to venture into "big cities" and refuse to accept anyone who lives or once lived in a city. They may have heated arguements about Ford vs. Chevy and are willing to die for their auto-maker of choice. They consider Nascar a sport, and if a foreign car wins hell may have just frozen over. They have no tolerance for change or advancement as they are often poorly educated and ignorant. Often times they refer to items as "she" or "them" and speak with an accent.

Generally poor whites with little or no education. The majority of them live in rural areas or the poorest sections of the city. Most are considered harmless and are completely clueless on what's going on around the world.
They live in trailer parks, drive trucks with different colored panels or primer stains, love WWF and NASCAR and have 5 kids before the age of 25.

A hick is often thought to be a white-trash hillbilly by ignorant people who think they have the right to judge others. In reality hicks are a bit different than hillbillies or redneck but may very well be both. Hicks are very proud people, love their country and are ofter (but not always) religious. They are normally born and raised in rural country of any state although is is possible to convert to a hick from any other life-style if the person enjoys the hick life. Most hicks enjoy hobbies such as: hunting, fishing, mudding, nascar, football, taking care of animals, drinking socially,etc... It is said they are uneducated but this is simply a stereotype and many go to college. Hicks tend to be very hard working and many are farmers. Some believe in the good ol" days and are often old fashion which can result in racism. Many people mistake them as poor due to the fact that they save their money for most important priorities such as children or family, big trucks for good times, and making great memories. The things that have real value in life over money. The easiest was to find out if someone is a hick is to simply ask them, if not you will get a dirty look in return if they are the most common answer is "hell yeah!"
