Definder - what does the word mean?

What is Fourth World?

The lowest of the world problems. When you are unable to afford the bare minimum (3rd world) so you find a way to obtain drugs to fight the pain of the way things have turned out.

Ex. The inability to stand due to use of drugs.

Thank God I'm not a homeless I don't think I could handle fourth world problems

Fourth World - video

Fourth World - what is it?

A real world dystopia with a corrupt / extremist authoritarian government, that uses media gaslighting as a disguise.

The U.K. became a fourth world country when it began to strip away human rights en mass (see austerity, eugenics, and imperialism), remorselessly murdering its citizens (see grenfell tower, the war on drugs, “herd immunity”) and proposed trade agreements that severely violate international law (see Brexit).

The U.S. is a fourth world country because children’s ‘back to school’ shopping lists include bullet proof vests (see Sandy hook, school shootings), citizens are regularly murdered by militarised police (see Stonewall, Black Wall Street, BLM, the war on drugs, indigenous peoples).

North Korea is a fourth world country, due to its long term relationship with a dystopian dictatorship. (See North Korea)

(This is not a complete list) More examples include:

- Venezuela (See Venezuela economic crisis)
-Israel (See Palestine)

-China (See “re-education camps”, concentration camps, Uighurs, the drug death penalty, “pod” homes, Winnie the Pooh)
-Saudi Arabia (See civil rights, women’s rights, Jamal Kashoggi, Oil wars)

-Hungary (See Hungarian democracy)

-Brazil (See amazon burning, Jair Bolsonaro, Brazilian prisons)
-Philippines (See Rodrigo Duterte war on drugs)

“I haven’t felt safe since we became a fourth world country.”

“The government does not serve the people.”

Fourth World - what does it mean?

An overview description for a series of interconnected comic books drawn and written by artist Jack Kirby, after leaving Marvel Comics in the 1970's due to his frustration with Marvel management; the books dealt with science fiction and mythological themes; the books were entitled, THE NEW GODS, FOREVER PEOPLE, and MISTER MIRACLE. None of the characters could be described as the sort of conventional 'superheroes' that Kirby and others had created in the past, but the books revolved around the idea of what could be called 'demi-gods', some good, others evil, but technologically and physically advanced over humans - the books dealt with the interaction between the 'good' gods of NEW GENESIS and the 'evil' ones of APOKOLIPS and their eventual contact with earth.

You will find opinions among Jack Kirby fans equally divided about the Fourth World books he did; but the themes are found in works like: Fantastic Four, Chariots of the Gods, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Childhoods' End, More Than Human, Eternals, Forbidden Planet, Dr.Who? .. and too many more to list ..

Fourth World - meaning

Those ethnic groups which reside in the jurisdiction of recognized nations rather than having an independent state of their own. Fourth-world peoples are excluded from positions of power in those governments, and frequently have de facto if not de jure status as second-class citizens or worse.

The Palestinians, Kurds, and Roma are all examples of members of the Fourth World.
