I'm working over time and right now I'm all caught up and just filking the time.
What does "Filk" mean?
To sing a song based on sci-fi, borrowing a tune from another song, but replacing the words to relate to a chosen sci-fi show.
A cross between 'fi' and 'folk'.

2- He's gone filking at the sci-fi convention.

Many people wondered what Leonard Nimoy was trying to accomplish when he recorded his "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" years ago. While the world my never know his intentions, the result seems to be the genesis of the filk movement.
