Equal - what is it?

1) An irritating concept that gave rise to algebra equations.

2) An ideal shared by many downtrodden citizens across the globe that all men deserve the same treatment regardless of differentiating factors, such as race, religion, gender, weight, physical and/or mental abilities (or lack thereof), income, personality, looks, etc.

2) Very likely nonexistant in a purely practical sense.

1) Correct the inequality.
2) All men are equal.
3) Some are just more equal than others. (-George Orwell)

What does "Equal" mean?

Communism. (It doesn’t work) nice try though.

I believe in equality because I believe everyone should have the equal rights except those who don’t agree, they are morons and don’t know shit.

Equal - what does it mean?

1) A word that, by definition, means for EVERYBODY.

2) A situation where a woman, a black gay guy, and a straight white male walk into a job interview and the person with the most experience, references, and credentials gets the job.

1) Person A: I agree that equality is important, but don't you think our gender should be given special privileges?

Person B: No way, equality is for everybody, not just us.

2) Person A: So, who you gonna hire for the accounting job?

Person B: Probably whoever has the most experience, references, and credentials.

Equal - meaning

Equal actually means the same, though in the wrong hands equality becomes something that applies to people the way it applies to numbers. Outside of numbers there is no better than, worse than, greater than, less than, superior or inferior in terms of people (or products/merchandise). Equal actually means two things being the same when it's not twisted into something else (better than, worse than). So if somebody is a prude, and somebody else is equal to them, since they are the same, they are both prudes. In reality, while no one is better than anyone else, no two people are the same, each person is different. Never trust anyone who always preaches about equality, because someone like that would like to be what you are instead of being what they are. Bach wasn't really different, he had to steal his brother's work to make himself look different, but it wasn't his own different skin he was in.

Hitler put a lot of effort into trying to be worse than other people, yet he would have killed somebody for thinking they weren't like them, even if that didn't make them better. So while you know that each person is equal in the sense that no one is more or less human, what do you call a guy that tries to be the worst besides a coward? And if everyone is equal in the sense that they are the same in value, doesn't that make everyone else cowards also? At what point do you notice there are some noticeable differences between you and this reptilian guy/girl. There are things that they would do that you don't do, and there are things that you do that they don't, despite you both being of the same human race. You don't have to agree that you're the same as somebody else because they would like to be the same as you, you can stand against bullshit like that.

Equal - definition

The same. A lot of people assume that someone not respecting someone else is because of the person thinking the two of them are not equal, when really everyone is equal, yet people still have good reasons not to respect people they don't respect.

The girl claimed to believe in equality, but held nothing sacred, including what she believed in. She would never really respect anyone or anything enough to hold anything sacred, but still expected the people she thought were uptight to respect her. By saying they were uptight, she was judging them, but expected nobody to judge her. She could see their double standards and hypocrisy, but not her own. She wasn't really trying to be equal to anyone, when she wasn't trying to be somebody else, she was trying to outdo them, which meant she was trying to be better than them, not equal. She was uber competitive because she wanted to be the best, not because she wanted to be equal to everybody else. Someone who really wants to be equal to everyone else isn't uber competitive, and also isn't always desperately trying to outdo somebody else.
