What is Chaldean?
Chaldeans are Catholics from Iraq. There are thousands of chaldeans in metro-detroit area (west bloomfield=little baghdad), san diego, sweden, and denmark.
Chaldeans are honest hard-working people who have fled Iraq due to war and persecution against christians. Family means the world to us and we are a very tight-knit community.

"all chaldeans own liquor stores or gas stations" in iraq chaldeans had dream jobs like professors at universities, lawyers, doctors...but when they came to america any degrees/lisences were no longer valid. Chaldeans left home with little money, so liquor stores seemed like the way to go!
"chaldeans marry cousins" chaldeans marry cousins (rarely) so they can bring relatives to america who are stuck back home without the right paperwork.
Chaldeans refer to other chaldeans as "cuz" as a joke.

Being invited to a chaldeans home means that they consider you to be very close to them.

A group of so called Catholics And Christians from the Middle East that Deserted their own countries and fled to America. Their fathers and grandfathers are weak and would not fight a civil war in their homelands. Most of them were scared out of their homes and villages by men with beards. Their families are scared to stand their ground. They will run from any and all confrontation.
They found the USA as a desirable place because there is so many laws protecting fraudulent criminals and white collar scammers.
They would rat on their own parents to stay out of trouble. Their parents would also be proud of them for doing that.
The live in homes with 3 or 4 generations under 1 roof. 12 family members in 1) 3 bedroom home is not uncommon.
Metro Detroit suburbs is full of Chaldean Communes.
That Chaldean family has the cops at their home daily! Must be telling on each other again.
What does "Chaldean" mean?
The guido version of the Arab world. You can usually find them trying to one up someone, wearing an unnecessary amount of jewelry, or trying to hit on someone’s girlfriend. They travel in packs and like to buy bottle service, but their table is only filled with men. They do be lovin the homies, their families, and nitrous. If you’re not Chaldean, they probably won’t be friends with or date you.

Roman Catholics that originated in Ancient-Mesopotamia. Do not refer to them as "Arabs" because they are not. Chaldeans speak Aramaic, also the language that Jesus Christ spoke. They were the original civilization in the middle-east. They now settle in Northern Iraq, Michigan, California, Ontario Canada, And Arizona. They immigrated to the United States because their home land was being dictated by Saddam Hussain. The United States was the easiest place to make a living. They are Successful business People who often own liquor stores, grocery stores, gas stations, dollar stores, restaurants, meat markets, and half of Detroit. Coming to the United States around 20-30 years ago, not knowing how to speak english they worked hard and made a living. The most important thing to chaldeans is respect, if you disrespect them in any way they will mess you up. Chaldeans are often referred to as Sand-Niggers, boaters, and Chaldos. You would be proud to be Chaldean, if your not your jealous. Chaldeans often call other Chaldeans bro, cuz, cuzzin, akhoni, mann, if it's a younger chaldean talking to an older guy chaldean amo, if it's a younger chaldean talking to an older lady chaldean aunti. I can almost garauntee you that all chaldeans are related in a way. The closest race to Chaldeans are Assyrians but almost completely different.
How come Chaldeans have everyone's respect?
Because, they are kind-hearted, hard-working people with manners, respect, and loyalty.

They can be very kind and funny, or very ignorant, stubborn, strict (as any group can be). Their women have a job, and the men have a job (I think you can guess what those jobs are). Their food is fantastic! The men are SO GORGEOUS! The women are very beautiful!

Chaldean - definition
The proper name given by the Pope to describe the ethnic Assyrians who split from the Assyrian Church Of the East to the Roman Catholic Church known as the Great Schism. They speak a dialect of Chaldean Neo-Aramaic. For four centuries the Catholic Church tried to convert the Assyrians to Catholicism. It must be mentioned that the Assyrians of different religious denominations (Orthodoxy, Nestorian, Catholic, Maronite etc.), due to their lack of education, are not united as one nation but hate each other, thinking the others are foreigners!
The King of Assyria; Essarhadon, had 2 sons named Ashurbanipal (who had already been in control of Nineveh to the North) and Shamash-shum-ukin (The Predecessor of KALDU). After King Essarhadon's death, Babylonia was left to be governed by his son Shamash-shum-ukin and eventually revolted against his brother in 652 BC. In 626 Bc, Babylon had eventually threw off the Assyrian rule under King Nabopolassar's reign thus creating the Neo-Babylonian Empire (Chaldean Empire) with Babylon as the capital.

Assyrian by race and Chaldean by faith. Chaldeans (as they are often referred to) are Assyrians who belong to the Chaldean Catholic Church. Many Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) do not consider themselves Assyrian because of their close association with the Catholic church and not the Assyrian church of the East or any other Assyrian church. However, you will still find many Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) who know that they are Assyrian and will admit it. For some reason, many Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) claim to be Arabic (why the hell they would do that, i dont know), when in actuality they are Assyrians who speak a dialect that seems to have been mixed with both Aramaic (Assyrian) and Arabic. The Assyrian Democratic Movement (ZOWAA) has gone one step further in including the Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) name into the name of the Assyrians....Chaldo-Ashur. This is a highly debated issue among the Assyrian nation, as to why the Chaldean name (a religous name and not the name of an actual race) is intertwined with the national name of Assyrians (Ashurayeh). Oddly enough, the attempt by ZOWAA to unite the Assyrian nation has actually widened the gap between Assyrian non-catholics and Assyrian catholics (chaldeans); many chaldeans do not want to be considered as Assyrians and many Assyrians in turn do not want the Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) to be part of the nation if they so strongly despise their own blood........Wake up Assyrian catholics (chaldeans) of the world...United we can have our own country!!!

Chaldeans are good, hard working people. I am not Chaldean, yet I can say from my own experiences that these people are truly good-natured and caring, and that they deserve more respect. From even before Christ until today, Chaldeans have been an important part of the history of our world as we know it. Assyrian, through my research i have found that Assyrians and Chaldeans are so close in ancenstry that they are sometimes called Chaldo-Assyrian. Aren't you, in effect, disparaging your own ethnicity and background by posting the definition above? Chaldeans deserve to be recognized for what they are: a kind hearted, hard working Christian people.
Chaldeans' status in American society today is a great example of their tremendous character as a people.
