Definder - what does the word mean?

What is American history?

A movie where every member of the Vineyard family has a first name that begins with the letter D. Kind of like the number 5 is every number of their phone numbers.

American History X wanted to make everything as realistic and authentic as possible.

American history - what is it?

The version of history that allows people to be unoppressed and unrepressed, even if they would still choose the oppressed image to take advantage of or walk over anybody they could.

American History Y is just as good as American History X, one doesn't seem more right than the other, though females might secretly hate the Y version a little bit more, since the X version gave them unlimited power to whine about how oppressed they were, not that they were the only group to try and capitalize on being "marginalized" or feeling left out.

What does "American history" mean?

A class that causes students to fear the letters D, B, and Q together. Also causes them to question their sanity. If a class was ever the devil-incarnate, this is it.

It WILL take over your life. No question.

American history - meaning

really boring despite all the fanfare about how "developed" native American society were they really weren't anything special

a good example of native American history is the Aztecs and the Incas:

ohh look at the Aztecs and Incas they had a highly developed society....expect if they were in the old world they would be a foot note in history( look up Hitte empire or any tiny ass country in central Asia from 1450 A.D. to 1800s)

American history - slang

A movie dedicated to the principle that racist curb-stomping is badong.

Sarah Palin (secretly taped by FBI): John, did you know there's a black man running against you for President? What are we going to do about that?

John McCain (secretly taped by FBI): Well, we could send some of our goons to curb-stomp him...

FBI Agent: Gov. Palin, Sen. McCain, you were caught on tape conspiring to curb-stomp Barack Obama!

John McCain: It's too bad the tape ended just at that moment. I was about to say, "...but that would be badong!"

Sarah Palin: It would?

John McCain: Shh! Uh, yes, officer... I realized that when I watched American History X! You think I want to get sent to prison and anally gang raped again like I was in Viet N-- I mean, anally gang-raped for my first time ever?

American history

One of the best films of all time. Definitely the best anti-racist film ever. This movie teaches no one is right and no one is wrong. A great movie.

Guy 1 - "American History X changed the way I think of other races and racism in general."
Guy 2 - "Shit, I better check that movie out."
Guy 1 - "Yeah, you should you fucking racist bitch."

American history

The History of the United States of America. Founded in 1776 by our Founding Fathers including and not limited to General George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton. George Washington wanted to be elected by the people and did not want to be King; he became the first president in 1789 followed by Adams (The only Founding Father who did not own slaves) and Jefferson (Penned the Declaration of Independence, buyer of the Louisiana Purchase.)

Between 1776 - 1860, more states in the West entered into the Union while the North and South became separated due to economy & slavery. After Abraham Lincoln was elected, the South became their own country: Confederate States of America with President Elect Jefferson Davis. Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation which freed the slaves. Civil War broke out at Fort Sumter, climaxed at Gettysburg and ended at the Alamo: 600,000 dead. The Union was preserved. Reconstruction followed.

Following Events:
1914 - 1918 WW1
1920 - 1928 The Roaring 20's
1928 Stock Market Crash
1928 - 1941 - The Great Depression
1932 New Deal
December 7th, 1941 - Pearl Harbor
1941 - 1945 WW2

Between the years of 1947 - 1988, the Cold War was fought as a chess game on the planet and even to the moon between the two superpowers: the United States and Russia. Both participated in the Nuclear Arms race and the space race. Both put their troops/weapons near each other aiming them at each other. Ronald Reagan was able to resolve the War in 1988.

Other Key Events:
1959 – 1975 Vietnam War (50,000 American soldiers dead)
1961 - Bay of Pigs invasion
1962 - Cuban Missle Crisis

American history

Keeping the general population as uneducated as possible so that they really believe their country is the best and that they have a say in what happens in it. Rather than the truth -that large corporations run the show and that the average American has no voice what so ever. That way people like George W Bush bet elected.

American History - Republicans convincing red neck yahoos that the Republican party supports uneducated backwoods gun toting folk when in reality the leaders of the party are all well educated ivy league grads.
