What is word salad?
When someone on social media wants to say something, especially in politics on Facebook and Twitter, but doesn't know enough to make a reasonable argument, s/he will often string a few words together followed by five or six hashtags, believing that they've won the argument.
"Hillary is the most corrupt politician everrrrr. #feelthebern #bernieorbust #birdiesanders #hillno"
If that hashtag word salad is the best you can do, you've lost the argument.

Speaking nonsensically out of your ass as part of an official role, position, or duty in the course of defending Joey B’s policies on mandatory vaccines, open borders, and big tech censorship, as well the unequivocal assignment of all non-vaxxed humans as plague rats.
When beta cucks or CNN defend Joey B, they sound like they are tossing the word salad.

What does "word salad" mean?
The speaking art of talking without actually saying anything at all, to contradict yourself by saying one thing today, then flipping your position tomorrow and the day after, then again the day after that.
The ability to use words like "Laser focused", "Mission driven", "net Zero" or wishy washy non specific rubbery phrases like "We would negotiate" without actually saying what his limits are.

The art of creating a speech which is essentially word fog, that evaporates on the ether before it hits the ears, the ability to take an enthusiastic audience and have them phoning the Samaritans within 5 minutes of opening you mouth.

A reply from American centrists and centre leftists (i.e. liberals) when a comment is more than one sentence, especially when the subject matter doesn't turn on their Trump hazing instincts. The very cue of "word salad" is an immediate indication that they are intimidated by reading anything past a headline, hence why they ask leftists and conservatives to "do their research."
This word would not have been invented at all if they read Joe Biden's campaign platform that explicitly rejects Medicare for All; or how Kamala Harris incarcerated more black people than Trump did; or that the "Afghan Papers" that compiled 20 years of data that reveals all administrations lied and more lives and money are laid to waste.
With great power comes great responsibility, and staying informed on the issues is a responsibility of the democratic citizen, ergo they are empowered by it. The very act of demanding someone to read things for them is self-exempting and disempowering. Furthermore, when they select bureaucratic technicalities over populist issues, it allows atrocity and injustice to persevere. The second danger of labelling things "word salads" is that it ridicules and insult to the introduction of new or re-emerging words to adapt to changing realities; it's anti-intellectual to the core!
