What is wallflower?
a wallflower is a person that doesnt like talking or being around other people. though they might not talk to people, i know many things about a lot of people. they are the ones that you can tell anything to and they wont tell anybody because they prefer to not talk to people in genral. they are only open to their true friends, but some times they act fake to hide their shyness in front of them too. no one talks to them, or chooses to, because wallflowers dont seem like interesting people to talk to. youll never become friends with a wallflower until you get to break into their thick, thick shell. wallflowers are some of the most interesting people to meet, but you will never get to know them unless you try because theyre not the type to be the starter of a friendship.
i consider myself a wallflower. most of the time people veiw it as a bad thing, but its really not. though i dont have many friends, i love them all.

What does "wallflower" mean?
Perennial plant native to southern Europe, bearing fragrant yellow and orange flowers. The name is derived from the fact that the plant, when naturalized to a region, is often found growing out of the nooks and crannies in an old wall, or a cliff. The natural tendency for this plant to separate itself from the other denizens of a formal garden, and grow in isolated locations, doubtless led to the use of the term "wallflower" to describe an anti-social, or shy individual, who lingers in the background, against the wall, as it were, at social occasions.
The heady fragrance of wallflowers growing on the embankment wafted up to me.

someone, usually in high school, who sees everything, knows everything, but does not say a word. they are not loners. they are introvertive, meaning they are shy and have a social disease. they cannot handle having someone pay attention to them even though they crave it as much as everyone else. wallflowers are just phased in, and faded into the backround.

These people are often the most sincere, kind, and wonderfully interesting people, yet fail to be attractive to the opposite sex for some reason.
I thought that she was mean and stand-offish at first, but then I got to know her and found out that she's really a somewhat shy, beautiful soul. She's a bit of a wallflower if you ask me.

Wallflower
Someone, usually a teenager who observes other people and how they interact. He or she who is a wallflower may seem antisocial, but probably just wants to fit in. These people are very smart, have strong emotions, and try to understand people. Wallflowers look for friends, and might have a few good ones, and might not. They often want to fit in with other teens, but realize they are too socially awkward to really fit in. So he, she or they would stand on the sidelines, observe others, but are too afraid to let their awkwardness show.
I consider myself a wallflower. I am mostly lonely, but once I get to know people or if people give me a chance, I can show who I really am, and I can show who I truly am, a nice and not-so-different person.
