Upfriending - what is it?
(v) - to gain a better quality friend from a mutual friend.
My friend Jason asked if his friend Glenn could come to dinner with us. After meeting Glenn, I had to upfriend him.
What does "upfriending" mean?
(v) When a friend or relative's friend befriends you after meeting you. This is not as common as upfriending but does occur occasionally when the friend's friend realize you are a upgrade. This is the ultimate insult to the original friend or relative.
