What is tight band?
When a musical group sounds just right as a whole - they are synchronized, supplement (together), and complement (off beat) each other, sounding complete and not overdone.

A band that has a clean sound, with precise, synchronized attacks. None of the performers are playing off tempo. Also known as "in the pocket."
