Definder - what does the word mean?

What is spanish dub?

Adjective
Obscure synonym for bisexual.

Originated from Eric Kripke's television show, Supernatural (2005-2020). The season 15 episode 18 episode revealed the angel Castiel's love for Dean Winchester, with Dean not reciprocating. However, in the episode's Spanish dub, a line is changed so when Castiel confesses "Te amo" (I love you), Dean replies "Y yo a ti, Cas" (and I, you, Cas). The fandom accepted it as proof Dean is bisexual when Spanish dubbed, and thus the term was coined.

Mom, dad, I have something to tell you.

I'm Spanish dubbed

Spanish dub - what is it?

A dub of a Supernatural episode in which Castiel confesses his love to Dean, who reciprocates the feelings. The dub only aired in Latin America, however, as Castielโ€™s feelings are seemingly unrequited in the English script.

The confession in English is as follows:

Castiel: โ€œI love you.โ€

Dean: โ€œDonโ€™t do this, Cas.โ€

The Spanish Dub, however, changes Deanโ€™s response:

Castiel: โ€œTe amo.โ€ (I love you.)

Dean: โ€œYo a ti, Cas.โ€ (Me too, Cas.)
