What is remote work?
The act of taking a dump while being on one's smartphone doing either things pertaining to work or looking at sites to prolong your dump to get out of doing work.
Manager: "Time to start making phone calls!"

Getting not even a remote amount of work done, whether from the office or home.
"Where's the boss? She's totally ignored all my emails."

What does "remote work" mean?
Remote work is work that is usually performed from the employee's residence, using information and communication technologies, such as computer, Internet and more, as opposed to performing the work in the employer's structure. Remote work can be performed in full or in part (part of the week) and continuously or non-continuously (division of the working day between home and office). The technological breakthrough brought with them by the means of computing enabled a widespread revolution in the world of work. Managerial perceptions and organizational theories that have evolved over decades, according to which work is performed from one central work site to which employees come daily, have changed.
