What is pity points?
An arbitrary score that is given to a person who tries to make people feel sorry for them all the time.

Pity points - what is it?
Points received on a difficult test when a student or students are not doing well in either the class or test. They are extra points given to help boost the grade on the test for the struggling student or students.
Person1: Hey what score did you get on the test?
person2:I got a 75 but looks like most of my score was made up of pity points.
