Hardcore emo is when your girlfriend breaks up with you in highschool and embarrass you so bad that. You lose all of your friends and popularity. This causes you to quit the football team. And start wearing leather jackets only small black t-shirts skinny jeans and converse. And write songs about all bad things that happend to you. And run away from home.
Kid1:hey just yesterday that kid was capten of the team. Now he's all dark and writes sad songs. Kid2:I know that's because he's hardcore emo.

What does "hardcore emo" mean?
Hardcore emo is when your girlfriend hasn't called, so you dye your hair black put on your thick black framed glasses curl up into a ball in your bathtub and cry yourself to sleep.

Hardcore emo - meaning
Quite the misnomer, since it actually stands for "hardcore emotional hardcore." Sometimes referred to as emo-core, but can easily be confused as many people refer to anything that has screaming in the song as emo-core. Most easily identified by the hardcore build-up in a song, where it starts off very soft and increases in intensity until it ends in a soul shattering cacophony of emotion and passion.
Non-Objective Portrait of Karma by Circle Takes the Square is a great example of a hardcore emo song, as is Cuts Like Drugs by Hoover.
