What is flyby?
When a ricer and a other car race, the ricer loses, the winner slows down to legal speed, then the ricer flies by and thinks he won, to save some face in front of his friends.
"Dude, check out this ricer, he wants to race, check out his 4-banger Dodge Neon, my V-8 6.6 403 could whoop his ass."

What does "flyby" mean?
The act of speeding by the winner of a street race at a high rate of speed, after losing said street race.
Passing the lead car in a street race, after the race has clearly ended. Usually performed because the loser is upset at the outcome of the race, and is secretly crying inside.

Flyby - what does it mean?
When a slower vehicle overtakes a faster vehicle after a speed contest. After the speed contest has finished, the slower vehicle proceeds to pass the faster vehicle to inflate the ego /recieve an erection/brag to friends, or any combination of the above. This loser flyby can be performed by any make/model of vehicle, as long as the said car is significantly slower than the opponent. See also ricer flyby, meathead flyby.

Flyby - definition
(Ri-ser fli bi) An action undertaken by a person fitting any or all of the genuinely accepted criteria of a "ricer" in which he or she accelerates a slow and underpowered motor vehicle, which is usually adorned with large spoilers, bright paint colors/graphics and neon lights, past another vehicle which is known or thought to be faster or more powerful with the intention of overtaking said vehicle at as high a speed differentiation as possible.
The act is typically used in lieu of a genuine speeding contest in which the "ricer" does not perceive any chance of succeeding and instead uses the action as a fabricated victory. The second vehicle is typically piloted by a driver who is unaware of any automotive competition beforehand, is likely driving in high-gear at low RPM and may or may not be adjusting the vehicle's stereo and/or scratching their genitals at the time.
The actual act of acceleration is usually very brief and surprisingly unimpressive and is usually accompanied by a very loud and irritating buzzing noise from the exhaust and/or the activation of the "ricer's" 4-way hazard indicators, which are used to communicate the bitch-slapping to the second vehicle.

In most cases, the "ricer" will later engage in spontaneous and excessive masturbation while vividly recalling his actions at which time the second driver will typically be having sexual intercourse with the "ricer's" girlfriend, wife, sister, daughter, mother or any combination of the above.

A quick and discreet "pass-through" of a nearby area to check on a repairman's progress, observe if certain persons are present, etc. Practiced by a considerate person who doesn't wish to hover, or when the actor prefers not to reveal his presence or disturb anyone until the appropriate time.
Customer: I wonder if the mechanic is done with my oil-change yet... think I'll do a discreet flyby of the garage and see what he's doing at the moment.

It goes like this: the race is over and the winning car is slowing down but the losing car just keeps going and flies by at (what seems to them, at least, to be) a great rate of speed. The losing car will most likely resemble the sound of an amtrak train (meat head) or a weed wacker (ricer).
