To knock on someone's door, or ring their doorbell, and then run away. Hiding nearby to watch the person's reaction is optional.
Known as "Nigger Knocking" in less politically-correct times and less politically-correct places such as the Deep South.

What does "ding-dong-ditch" mean?
Ding-Dong-Ditch is a fun activity done commonly in suburban areas. It consists of ringing a doorbell (or knocking if they don't have a doorbell installed) then running away to hide from the owner of the house, usually in a bush or behind a tree. You can flee down the whole street if you want. But be careful, since they might call the police. It is funny as hell when you see their reaction, so using a ghillie suit is good for hiding.
