What does "ding-dong-ditch" mean?

Ding-Dong-Ditch is a fun activity done commonly in suburban areas. It consists of ringing a doorbell (or knocking if they don't have a doorbell installed) then running away to hide from the owner of the house, usually in a bush or behind a tree. You can flee down the whole street if you want. But be careful, since they might call the police. It is funny as hell when you see their reaction, so using a ghillie suit is good for hiding. As seen on YouTube.

The name was originated from the actions done.

ยท "Ding-Dong" which obviously refers to the sound of the doorbell.

ยท "Ditch" which means to run away from a situation that you do not want to be invovled in

Put that together, and it is Ding-Dong-Ditch!

Yo, lets Ding-Dong-Ditch that creepy old man that lives down the street!

Ding-dong-ditch - slang

The act where you knock on someone's door, or ring their doorbell, and run away. This is mostly used on old people who either grab their gun and shoot at the kid, or chase them in their car. This, in my opinion, is fun as fuck if he or she starts chasing you. Most people do this at night to not be seen, but I like to sometimes go during day.

/I'm bored as fuck, let's go ding dong ditching and hit that old guy down the road first./
/Fuck yeah! Let's go./
