Liar; braggart. First use recorded amongst irate residents of 19th century Widnes as an unflattering nickname for infamous French farmer William De Theantandec, who toured North-Western agricultural shows displaying cows with artificially glossed fur.

Bullshine - what is it?
a gloss of appetizing bullshit to cover up some seriously sickening other shit, i.e. euphemistic spin of something that the bullshiner (one who applys bullshine to something) is trying to cover up
hospitals explaining the consolidation of care as coordinating care for better patient care (the bullshine), when really they are consolidating so as to gather bargaining power with insurance companies (the sickening other shit that needs to be covered up).
What does "bullshine" mean?
A "bullshiner" is a cleaner version of "bullshitter". It waqs made mainstream by favourite Big Brother housemate, Mario Marconi.
The word is often part of the expression "Billy Bullshiner", There are many theories as to why Mario puts the word/Name "Billy" at the begging, one theory is that, because it's alliteration it makes it sound good and rolls of the tongue. Another is that the name "Billy" often crops up before other famous derogatory slurs, such as "Billy no Mates".
