What is big mitts?

Rough looking hands. Originated in reference to baseball catchers mitts and how they end up looking unkempt and dirty after being used over time during various games.

Person 1 : Yo did you see Lashelle's wedding ring on instagram?
Person 2: No I was too distracted by her big mitts to even notice.
