Akuma is the Japanese word for "devil" or "demon."
you tend to here this word in a lot of anime when subbed in Japanese.
for example: Black Butler, The Devil is a pert-timer, Manonoke and Princess Manonoke, Spirited Away, Final Fantasy, Bleach, etc.
