What is Verlaine?
A drink popularised by it's namesake in the Marquee pub, Norwich, in late 2003. Basically a Smirnoff Ice with a shot of blackcurrant cordial in the top. Ideal for those who have spent the past year sober and need breaking in gently.
Customer: "I'll have a Verlaine please."
Barman: "Do you mean you'd like a drink or you'd like to do Verlaine?"
Customer: "Both."

Verlaine - what is it?
A person who catfishes or poses as someone else on social media and troubles other social media users for long periods of time of 3 yrs or more.
Person 1: someone's been bothering me on social media for 3 yrs now and i don't know who it is still
Person 2: it's a Verlaine
What does "Verlaine" mean?
You made a mistake, then you repeated that same mistake. You don't want to make the mistake again. This requires you to have made the same mistake at least twice (or many more times) in the past tense.
