What is The Meaning of Life?
The meaning of life is a subjective question perhaps. The answer may vary from person to person to aardvark to flower.
How you live your life as a sentient being is perhaps more relevant than what purpose does life itself serve.
There are few guarantees in life and to assume that any answer to any question is correct is arrogant folly.

However everyone is entitled to an opinion. Here is mine…
The meaning of life is.... life
Life is the most amazing thing; it is something that we take for granted because we do not know any better.
If we could understand just how surreal the whole concept of life is - we would surely implode or just fade away into insanity.
Hold your hand up in front of your face, wiggle your fingers - do you understand how beautiful, bizarre and amazing the whole concept is?
Take a walk outside look at anything, listen to everything, touch something, smell the soil, taste the air - these are not things you should be able to do - you should not exist.
Life is not something that should exist; it does not make sense, it cannot be explained rationally.
Life is enjoyed in the simplicity, the natural beauty of nature and emotion
Life is hard, life is oh so painful.
But... life is beautiful; without life there is no love.
Without love there is nothing.
Therefore the meaning of life is life, because without life there is no love
Love is all - cant you feel it?

To understand the meaning of life, first, think of the most basic lifecycles, plant lifecycles. A flower's sole purpose in life is to grow, attract a bee for pollen, then let loose new seed to become new flowers. Now move on to a living creature, the moth. Though they are known for eating clothes, many are born without mouths. They spend their lives as caterpillars, they eat, grow, explore and then become moths. Then they spend the remainder of their lives reproducing. For fish, they are born, eat, grow, then reproduce. Based on the previous statement we can assume that the meaning of life is to reproduce. But if you jump to that conclusion you may miss out on the other meanings. While the flower moth and fish only care about the preservation of their species, humans are much more complex. To say that your life has the same goals and limits of that of a fish would be idiocy, have you so little faith in your own kind? Yes reproduction is important but it is only a small part of the greater goal of all human life. I have come to understand 4 meanings of life. Reproduction is only the first. The second is evolution. We are the superior species, can destroy the earth if we wanted. But we should always look for a way to better ourselves. To grow faster, stronger, smarter. (Continues in example)
Things like phones and TVs, they hinder not one but 2 of life's meanings. What's to gain from something that isn't real? Reality is where life is, do you honestly dislike this world so much that you must constantly distract yourself from it? You are defeating the 3rd meaning, to live life in its entirety. We all have but a single chance. If something goes wrong so be it. Alexander the great died in his 20s, but did he have anything to regret, NO! He had almost conquered what was considered the entire world. While these days warlords are nonexistent, you must find a way to feel accomplished. Which brings us to our 4th meaning: happiness. Why listen to a song that you don't like? Why go to a parade that you do not support? It is useless. Time is precious and our lives are short. The Meaning of Life - definition
While each person's precise meaning is unique to them, there is an underlying universal meaning and a set of concepts that determine what a person's meaning is:
1. The meaning of life is growth.
2. People grow through their experiences.
3. People are driven to have experiences based on their desires.
4. Their motivations are sustained (or squashed) by their beliefs.
5. Emotions provide feedback as to whether a person is growing or being harmed.
6. Ethics are rules for how people should live to grow without harming others.
7. Support allows people to grow much more effectively than they could by themselves.
8. Choice enables people to determine which growth areas they pursue and how they pursue them.
If a person finds a growth area that they are passionate about, pursues the experiences necessary to grow in that area, builds their desire and belief about it, feels "in the zone" when they are performing that activity, follows rules so that they do not harm or inhibit others' growth on their journey, helps and receives help to achieve more, and makes deliberate choices to live their lives in the best way that they can, he or she will find meaning in their lives.
The reason why each person's meaning is different is that everyone will have a different set of growth areas and different goals for each area. The universal concepts will help them figure out what those are and pursue them optimally.

The meaning of life is to grow and thrive. People find meaning in their lives by pursuing meaningful growth opportunities. They choose the experiences they want, believe they can attain their goals, do things the right way, and get help when needed to feel fulfilled and reach their full potential.
The Meaning of Life - slang
The meaning of life is to not know the meaning of life. As simple and bland as that may be that is the answer. Whether that means you make your own meaning from there or that it can have a different meaning ( an absolute one, to you, or others) is another question in itself which falls UNDER life's meaning...which is not to know a meaning.
So you have an answer and a question (which can't be answered) simultaneously: We cannot know the meaning of life and in regards to that, does it still have a specific meaning or meaning of some kind that we cannot know?
So in essence, the question we want to know should be "why can't we know?" and there are too many questions and contradictions that would come from any reasoning concluded or the actual meaning is beyond our comprehension.
It is not that we all need to be in agreement for the meaning of life to hold true. It is that if that meaning truely is fact it would have to hold true to every person. For this to occur, all would have to be right, some would have to be right, and none would have to be right all at one time.
It is only in not knowing a finite absolute answer that any meaning can really hold true.
For someone to be proven right....that would mean someone would have to be proven wrong.
For someone to be proven wrong, there must be someone (or something/s) to possess the knowledge to know something to be correct.
Because we cannot attain the knowledge to prove someone right or wrong...all possibilities must exist in this present state...which is time continuing. All meanings must exist, some, one, and none.
Only through no one having knowledge of the meaning of life are all these things possible at the same time.
