What is South Sandwich Islands?

A British overseas territory in the southern part of the Atlantic ocean above Antarctica, and to the right of South America,
it is rumoured to have a population of 0 but it has a higher chance that it inhibits an estimated population of ≤30 people, whereas its neighbour Falklands has about 3400 as of 2017 and its mini island neighbours having about 10 people on it (mainly researchers and scientists).

South Georgia is also mainly popular for its whaling stations, which kills and sells wales, mainly the Leith harbour whaling station which is now abandoned had started operating in 1909 and ended in 1965 took about an estimate of 50,000 wales making it the highest production whaling station during that time, most whaling stations on the island were destroyed by german raiders.

Its animals consist of many species of fish and have a lot of penguins who come to visit the island which are from the Antarctic, as said earlier whales are also were a main part to the island in the 1900's and also have a large amount of insects that inhabit the island

The economy and GDP is yet unknown to the public but South Georgia's landscape mainly consists of snowy mountains, small islands and only a small amount of towns, mainly being Grytviken with 2/3 of the islands population, also being the islands capital.

The average temperature is about 1.7 degrees Celsius and snows from June to November.
