What is Scene Girl?
a scene girl is generally between the ages of 14 and 19 years old. they hang out nearly exclusively with other scene kids, almost always at a random house, or at a show. a scene girl differs from an emo (whom she is often confused with) or emo girl, in a variety of ways.
a scene girl is more or less an emo girl, with a positive outlook on life. you can usually differenciate between the two by looking at their choice of color: scene girls (or kids) will have an abundance of multi-colored patterns and prints on their wardrobe, as well as wear different colors in their hair, all while still wearing a primarily black outfit. emo girls (or kids) generally dress in shades of black, and other dark colors.
the scene girl wears bright ribbons, bows, and hairclips. she takes an interest (that reflects in her wardrobe) on childlike things, such as, hello kitty, teenage mutant ninja turtles, my little pony, batman, spiderman, etc. she wears clothing with repititive patterns on them, also in bright colors. her clothes are very form-fitting.
scene girls nearly always have interesting and unique hair. often with bright/unnatural colors (pinks, blues, blondes), and short choppy styles. scene hair rarely lays flat, but is instead teased to its fullest capacity.
the scene girl uses myspace as her communication to friends, showcase for scene pictures, and gateway to scene music. most scene girls say that 'music is their life.' the scene girl is usually expected to have an interest in photography.
the scene girl often idolizes transvestite (or nearly there) scene men, such as jeffree star, and other "beautiful" scene men.
she listens to upbeat music, that can be described in so many words as glam pop punk.
scene girls (and kids in general) talk in a lingo that isn't nearly as difficult to understand as it is to tolerate. they often use suggestive/wildly inappropriate language as petnames, or just in casual conversation.
she has odd fascinations. examples: ninjas, pirates, polka dots, leopard print, dinosaurs, robots, etc.

What does "Scene Girl" mean?
scene girls typically have black hair with their bangs cut a 45 degree angle. they wear big plastic jewerly and leggingly under their hollister mini skirts with their ballerinia flats. they wear clothes from urban outfitters thrift stores and their favorite band tee's typically combined with a white studded belts. occasionally, fishnets are typical. they wear black eyeliner with neon colered eye shadow and talk about how much they hate ( the preps the skaters, the jocks...) and their favorite bands..which typically are terrible they take pictures of themselves from different angles to put on their myspace which are totally hardxcore or the SEXXX which they will totally get scene points for. they love writing RAWR, im a dinasour on their binders and pretend to be ninjas, pirates...and so on.. they typically wear pretty bows or little girl head bans in their hair (which is really cute regardless) fashion to them is a pair of joe's jeans thier hot pink green day t-shirt and a studded belt...but dont hate scene girls, beacuse they are people too

Usually, a scene girl will have brightly colored hair, such as pink, purple, white, yellow, green,orange. But also blonde or brown, with streaks of color in it. Scene girl have 3 main styles. Vintage/60's, Raver, or the basic. Vintage: Flares, old band tee's, big fake/real glasses, bandanna's, belly shirts, high waisted pants. Raver: TuTu's, Colored petticoats, neon heels, HUGE hair, bikini top, lots of bows, bright make-up, cute anime back-pack. The Basic: Skinny's, Band tee's, Cartoon tee's, converse, vans, toms, chucks, Bright Make-up,Teased hair,lots of kandi(huge beaded bracelets) Rubber Bracelets.

How to become a scene girl.
1. Dye your hair; black, beach blonde, red, rainbow colors.
2. Cut your hair short and choppy. Or you can have long hair with really short layers on top.
3. Learn how to style your hair. The bigger the better. Make it stand up in the back.
4. Wear cute little clips in your hair.
5. Wear layers of clothing. It doesn't matter if it doesn't match. Make sure its colorful.
6. Get shoes; converse, vans, flats.
7. Make sure to wear lots of eye shadow, really bright colors.
8. When you talk through in "SUP @ CHU" and "KTHANXBIA", "STFU", "IM BRUTAL WITH 2 Z3R0s and A F0uR" shit like that will make people think you talk scene so you must be scene.
9. Go to shows.
10. Defend the scene.

Slutty girls who usually date any guy or girl within their own little group. Yes, they like to think they are bi and crave the attention that comes along with it.
Hair is very scene, and make-up includes looking like a mix between a raccoon and a prostitute. Clothes are basically v-necks, random kiddie tees (dinosaurs, Hello Kitty, robots, sparkles, princesses), extremely tight skinny jeans that have some sort of animal print on them, excessive chains, a shoe of the brand Converse or Vans, and little girl bows and beaded bracelets. And who could forget the ironic mix of black and rainbow.
These girls act like airheads, but at the same time hate anybody's guts who do not think of them as 'deep' people. They will try to rebel whenever possible or make themselves appear 'different', 'unique', or 'special' to anyone else. Dislike being put under a certain category such as 'emo', 'goth', or 'scene'.

Scene girls are very confident. Their clothes are bright. A typical outfit would be-- A big bow in teased hair. Black eyeliner (with cat eyes) and fake eyelashes. A Hello Kitty t-shirt. Red and black zebra striped skinny jeans with yellow ballet flats. Lots of big necklaces and bracelets. Neon colors are a must. Band shirts are great too. Anything with Hello Kitty, Kuromi,My Melody, Gir, etc. are the best to wear. Little and big bows are great and are also a must. Skinny jeans are the best to be worn. Remember, the tighter the better. Teased/spiked hair are usually seen on scene girls with many colors. Lets put it at this, the 80's are their fashion.
Music ranges from The Medic Droid to Black Dahlia Murder to The Beastie Boys. Mostly anything except country.

Scene girls are usually found in their natural habitat, myspace.com. They have a tendency to cake on ten pounds of make up, usually with bright eyeshadow and insane amounts of eyeliner that must have been inspired by racoons. They put bows in their hair in an attempt to be "cute." They wear band shirts, even if they don't know who it is. Skinny jeans must be worn and must be some ridiculous color that doesn't match anything.
When talking to a scene girl, you will find that they don't feel the need to use capitalization. Many of the words will have extra unnessary letters in them. Likeee thissss. Hearts are used a lot so their friends will know when she calls them all " trashyy slut whooress <3 <3" that she means it with love. Scene girls "rawr" a lot, because it's "cute" and because they love dinosaurs.
Scene girls have completely murdered hair. They begin by teasing/backbrushing, something that is actually very bad for hair. Scene girls put many colors in their hair, even if the combination looks ridiculous. They constantly redye it, causing more damage to their hair. They typically get brightly colored animal-print extensions as well.
Scene girls claim to be doing these things to express themselves as unique individuals. However, when a scene girl comes upon one who is not "scene enough" (one that is not identical to all the others) she will chew this girl out, calling her a poser and a wannabe.

Scene Girl
1) HAIR-Usually has BIG, poofy, teased hair (or spiked in the back if it's short). Their hair is most often dyes black or blonde with a few random streaks or coontails in it, with emo bangs swooshed over one eye or straight, blunt bangs that go over the eyebrows. Accessories include little bows, barrettes, headbands, ect.
2)CLOTHING-ALWAYS WEARS SKINNY JEANS: no other types of jeans are scene, super skinny jeans are a staple in the scene kid world. Scene girls usually have dark-washed jeans with either a jacket or band t-shirt on, with many layers of lacy tank-tops underneath. They like to wear pearls and wear lots of little kid beaded bracelets. The most scene shoes are vans, flats, skate shoes, or converse.
3) MAKE-UP: The scene make-up is CRUCIAL to the style. The girls will either wear a thick line of BLACK eyeliner an the top and bottom lid with bright and carefully done eyeshadow, or thick eyeliner at the bottom and intense dark black eyeshadow almost to the brow. Lots of girls will wear pale face powder. They will also wear either no lip make-up or put conceler and lip gloss on their lips.
4) PERSONALITY- Most scene kids will be extremely conceited and have a gazillion pics of themselves on myspace. They are mostly loud and random, and have funky personalities. They like to say stuff that no one says anymore (mostly 80's slang). They like to go to raves and shows alot. Some stubborn scene kids claim they're not scene at all, and say their "hardcore"...but we all know they aren't. ;)
5) MYSPACE: Every true scene kid NEEDS to have a myspace. Scene girls will usually have their scene name up for their name, and a kabillion pics of themselves. They also will have a bazillion friends (because they're Myspace whores)

They wear uber skinny ass tight jeans, with ballet flats or converese. Tight randomly sloganed T's, or laces tank tops in random colours. They like pearls and little girl clips in their hair. They say things like " sex, cunt, whore, rad, uber, !!1, Sup Nig, kthxbai, kdie, I hate you, guns go bang" ect... They are OBSESSED with pirates, ninjas and robots. Don't ask why, that's just the way it is in the scene... They think they're the best...and well..they are...and that's why people dislike them so much. Forget the whales, save a scene girl....
