What is SHSAT?
A test thousands of nyc 8th and 9th graders take to get into 8 of the best high schools in the city. It has 114 questions, 57 english and 57 math, that you need to complete in 3 hours. There are people that study for years just to do good on it.
Person 1: Dude, the shsat was sooo hard.
Person 2: Not for me man, my parents have been making me do practice since I was 7 B)

The way NYC tries to kill off 90% of their 8th-9th grade population from suicide by annually giving a standardized test that makes any kid who isn't a literal genius want to kill themselves.
I fucking hate the SHSATS, the smartass who made standardized tests a thing should burn is the lowest level of hell.
What does "SHSAT" mean?
The Specialized High Schools Admissions Test. A test needed to be taken in order to gain acceptance into one of NYC's
most 'gifted schools'. These schools include Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science, and Brooklyn Technical High School.
The cutoff score for Stuyvesant this year is 590 on the SHSAT. Crap.
