Definder - what does the word mean?

What is Rolling Stone?

A great 60's band that was around the same time as The Beatles, The Who and other assorted classic rock artists, such as Bob Dylan. Anyway, by far one of the greatest rock and roll bands ever. They didn't play Rock and Roll, they made Rock and Roll, from wonders of "Lets Spend the Night Together", to the classics "Jumping Jack Flash", "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Sympathy for the Devil", the Rolling Stones have made their way into everyone that is old enough to listen to music. You don't even have to listen to Rock & Roll to know the 'Stones. We as people of the 2000's, have been blessed to be born in an era where god like 60's bands are still somewhat capable of playing like they did (by which I mean, members dieing by means of overdose, cancer, or in Keith Moons case, getting drunk and drowning in a puddle). I find it horrible that more and more kids are starting to listen to rap and music thats all about rhythm and lyrics and people becoming emo and us worrying about aids, back in the 60's, nobody fucking cared, so cherish the 60's bands that remain, for when they are gone, they will leave a gap that can never be filled, one of the biggest of all being the Stones

The Rolling Stones have the title as "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band Ever"

Mick Jagger-Vocals
Charlie Watts-Drums

Rolling Stone - what is it?

A rock 'n' roll band who have been around since 1962. The majority of 'Stones songs are quite simple but you just can't resist dancing to them. In terms of commercial success, they are 2nd to lThe Beatles. The Stones have produced such classics as Jumpin' Jack Flash, Sympathy For The Devil, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Start Me Up, Rocks Off, Brown Sugar and so many more. Whilst a few people say that musically they are not as talented as some other bands from around that time, there is no denying the Stones can really rock. They will probably last forever, as I am currently writing this, they are on tour.

What does "Rolling Stone" mean?

a good magazine based on pop culture and rock that give good music reviews, but they don't know everything.
they don't know shit about politics, and just hate Bush even though they don't know a fuckin thing.
plus, all they ever talk about is Bruce Springsteen, and are always commemorating Bob Dylan on every single issue and all the time. they are great musicians, and i'm not dissing them, but please like i said CUT THE SHIT. we know, they are great musicians, but you make them look bad, they are not meant to be worshipped.
or, if so, they definetly not by you guys at least. Please.

GUY1 - dude, i love Rolling Stone, they gave Avril Lavigne a good review.
GUY2 - okay seriosly shut the fuck up.

Rolling Stone

A horrible corporate ad-fuck of a magazine that has reviewers who know almost nothing about music. While sometimes they will give high ratings to albums that are worthy, they are often afraid to give shitty pop and pop-punk (Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan etc...) anything under 2 or 3 stars. WTF is that?!?! Not to mention all the crappy rap that they have the nerve to call "art" (not all rap is bad but you wouldn't know that from their reviews) They also take an MTV-esque whiny liberal stance in their politics section (I myself am a strong liberal but I find their articles extremely biased playing into Hollywood style "limousine liberalism")

In the end their just another glorifier (along with radio, the RIAA and MTV) of bad music in America.

Do yourself a favor and support Indie artists and those with actual talent, not top 40 pop/pop-puck/emo/rap songs.

I will say some Rolling Stone's music reviews are unbiased and dead-on, however the majority are complete bullshit.

Rolling Stone

A magazine that was once about music and (politically correct left-wing) politics, but is now little more than a periodical of adult fan fiction for music journalists who have a crush on reactionary crybaby and sometimes rapper Kanye West.

When they're not depicting him as Jesus, they're calling him a genius who is operating on a completely different level to us Philistines who don't happen to believe that the US Government created the AIDS virus.

I just picked up the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, but all it is was a bunch of nude drawings of Kanye West. It did come with a free magnifying glass, though.

Rolling Stone

A political magazine disguised as a music magazine.

Every time I look at a Rolling Stone, I swear there are more political articles than music articles. I don't read a MUSIC magazine for the fucking politics. I read it for the MUSIC.
