Examples include: (but not limited to) police, crossing guards, fire, military, seniors, ems, healthcare workers, pregnant women, or any other demographic whereby it is fashionable for an organization to virtue signal fawning over “heroes” or other “protected groups.”

1) Fast food employee: “that’s $3.49 sir.”

Patron: “did you apply my ‘first responders’ discount?’”

Fast food employee (to customer)“oh yes sir, that’s now $3.45. Have a great day.”

Fast food employee (to themself): “sure here’s your participation trophy discount 🙄🤦 ♂️“

2) Airline gate agent: “we’d like to start our boarding process by inviting all military personnel, let’s give ‘em a hand folks (makes spectacle)!!
