What is Incubus?
The most awesome metal-funk turned alt.rock band that ever existed. Members include Brandon Boyd(the most creative, sensual, and down-to-earth guy alive-basically the quintessential man), Mikey Einziger(the most underrated guitarist in terms of creativity and shear talent), Jose Pasillas III-drummer extraordinaire, DJ Kilmore(known as Chris-replaced DJ Lyfe and turntablist Jedi master), and bassist Ben Kenney(who recently replaced the bands original bassist Dirk Lance, but hey he's still cool in my book). So far, the band has had 7 official albums which inlude: A fungus Amongus, Enjoy Incubus, S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself, When Incubus Attack Vol.1, Morning View, and A Crow Left of the Murder. The group formed in 94 in Calabasas, California, where Brandon, Mikey, and Jose went to school together.
1 guy-Dude, I just bought an Incubus album, like you said, and my life has now taken a change for the better. I'm gonna go make myself so I can be redefined. Hopefully I can experience the warmth before I grow old. I really wish you were here so we can like, go surfing or sumthin.

What does "Incubus" mean?
An Inccubus is the oposite of "Succubus".
While Succubus means "Lying under" Inccubus means lying over.
And Inccubus was once an man who refused to lie over a woman and was thereby punished.
While a Succubus was once a woman, but was punished by refusing to lie under.
An Inccubus rapes woman, while the succubus rapes men.
Origins:
A number of secular explanations have been offered for the origin of the incubus legends. They involve the medieval preoccupation with sin, especially sexual sins of women. Victims may have been experiencing waking dreams or sleep paralysis. Also, nocturnal arousal, orgasm or nocturnal emission could be explained by the idea of creatures causing an otherwise guilt-producing and self-conscious behavior. Alternatively, the influence of incubi could also have been invoked to explain otherwise "unexplainable" pregnancies out of wedlock.
Purported victims of incubi could have been the victims of sexual assault by a real person. Rapists may have attributed the rapes of sleeping women to demons in order to escape punishment. A friend or relative may have assaulted the victim in her sleep. The victims and, in some cases the clergy, may have found it easier to explain the attack as supernatural rather than confront the idea that the attack came from someone in a position of trust.

Incubus - meaning
A band of true musicians from start to finish. One of the greatest groups of musicians ever. As for giving props to the entire band...Brandon is hot, but so are Mike, Jose, Kilmore, Ben and Dirk. Likewise they are all pure talent. Don't know about Lyfe..never seen. :-)
The newest DVD "Live At Red Rocks" is a great display of the talents that each member possesses.

Incubus is a demon that rapes women in their sleep. It is to put in simple terms, the male form of the succubus.
Incubus is also an amazing rock band. They have not only amazing music, but great lyrics and vocals that tie it all together. Over the years they have been changing and evolving, but they have yet to release anything disappointing to their fans.

The Incubus (as well as Succubus) were thought to be fallen angels, looking foir revenge. Demons, witches and deformed children were the supposed outcome of intercourse with a Incubus (succubus). Merlin is thought to be the outcome of such an interaction.
