A phrase someone says when they are in need of studying, but they never actually end up studying.
Me: Hey, mom. I can't do the dishes because I have a lot of homework, and I need to study.
Mom: Okay, sweety.
Me: *goes to room* Okay, I'm going to actually study now. Scratch that, I'm gonna go watch anime.
