A Gran Canaria situation occurs when a story is told about an event that happened between two people but nobody else really knows what really happened or the full story besides the two people involved.

Gran Canaria - what is it?
The greatest island in the Canary Islands, Spain. It's famous for its parties, like Carnaval, its tolerance towards everybody, and the incredible amount of beautiful places you can visit.
There's a rivalry with people from Tenerife, chicharreros, who are a bit presumptuos and cocky, despite being far inferior to canariones. Plus, Gran Canaria has better teams in most sports, like football, basket, handball, volleyball, etc.
Dude, Gran Canaria all the way! It's awesome, and way better than Tenerife. Favourite holidays ever!!
