FNAF is an acronym for Five Nights At Freddy's the game's name. The player has to survive 5 nights and 2 bonus nights at a haunted chuck e cheese like restaurant. For some weird reason people hate its fandom, and say its games are overated, but those people have the IQ of 2 like Jake Paul. Also the game has a lot of sequels.

Short for Five Nights at Freddys, and indie horror game created by Scott Cawthon in 2014, there are nine (gonna be ten) games, which are the following: Fnaf, Fnaf2, Fnaf3, Fnaf4, Fnaf: Sister Location, FnafWorld, Freddys Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom night, and an upcoming one called Security Breach.
In these games (other than fnaf world) you play as a night guard at a pizzeria, named Mike Schmidt/Micheal Anton/ Eggs Benedict (fnaf 4 you play as a little kid).
You need to survive the nights, as the robot-animatronics come alive and try to stuff you in suits, you have five nights.
So, the main of the game is to check cameras, lock doors, shine flashlight, and more!
In FnaF2 onward, there are 8-bit minigames.

An abbreviation for "Five Nights at Freddys", a very popular indie horror game that is praised by many, but hated by many as well. The first entry was released in 2014, the creator Scott Cawthon made it in the first place because of the criticism he recieved on his other games for being too creepy, he turned that criticism into a fully fleshed out horror game franchise and made millions of dollars off of it, this kids is why criticism is important (Unlike *cough cough* Other devs *cough cough* YandereDev *cough cough*).
The first game had an overwhelmingly positive response encouraging him to make the sequel, "FNaF 2", which had just as much if not an even bigger impact than the first one, bringing out FNaF content creators we know today whose first videos that blew up were based off of FNaF 1 and 2, such as, Dawko, 8BitRyan, CoryXKenshin, DA Games, TLT, and many more.
Since then it had basically been smooth sailing for Scott from there, at the time of writing this definition the 10th game in the series, "FNaF security breach", is coming out soon, but who knows, when your reading this it could be on the 20th game, or even more!
FNaF has gotten a bad reputation for having a young fanbase who usually make bad fanart and porn for the game, the reason kids like this even get acknowledged in the first place is because of people sharing the cringe pics for updoots AKA internet brownie points.

Chad FNaF fan 2: Hey dude, have you realized that constantly bullying a fanbase is not criticism, and your generalization of the entire fanbase doesn't help either, instead it antagonizes the entire fanbase and just makes them sad/angry? You also complain about how when you were a child you got bullied by older kids that made fun of you for playing minecraft, but now you are becoming that exact person you despised and like to make memes about. Also you can't expect a fanbase filled with children to take criticism well most of the time, can you?
