I don’t know what’s gotten into Keith as of late, but he says he is a Deadbeat. Perplexed, I said I didn’t know you had kids. He said oh no, a deadbeat is someone who beats off the dead. A deadbeat is a male/female who claims to be the parent of a child, and does pay child support, but fails to take part in the child's life. They never call first, forget to send birthday and Christmas presents sometimes, and go off to start another family of their own, with a wife/husband, kids and pets, and are able to support their "other family" financially and emotionally. Meanwhile, the child and their mother/father are struggling to make ends meet and sometimes pay rent. The said deadbeat parent feels to take it upon themselves to file for court ordered visitations, thus causing more stress for the other parent and the child at a very young age.
This is also someone who cuts off all ties entirely with the other parent and child.
I'm pretty sure my dad's a fucking deadbeat.

1. Does not want to spend time with the child(ren).
2. Does not pay child support.
3. Does not have a career, possibly jobless.
4. Lives with friends or family.
5. Lies to try and keep his luxurious life of not being homeless.
6. Asks for favors frequently $$$$.
7. Possibly doesnt have a car.
8. May try to still sleep with you.
9. Possibly does illegal substances.
10. Is not involved in your child(rens) life unless he has other motives.

My definition of a Deadbeat is a "father" who uses you for their own gain.
1. Chooses not to support their child financially.
Would much rather spend money on himself that make sure his child had the essentials.
2. Notifies CSA he is living with current partner when he actually lives in between his parents and partners home to pay less Child support.
3. Picks his child up and then leaves other people to look after his child becauss he can't be bothered.
4. Doesn't care about their children's hygiene or too lazy to brush their hair.
5. Refuses to acknowledge that his child has any type of disability and offers no emotional support. Does not show any interest or show up to hospital appointments or meetings.
6. Tells people lies to make himself out to be a VICTIM and to make himself look like a good parent.
7. Keeps child's clothes that your child takes with them so he doesn't have to buy anything.
8. Relies on his partner to buy clothing for HIS child as he quit his job so he doesn't have to pay child support and has another excuse as to why he can't buy anything.
9. Does not help you with washing, keeping house tidy and clean.
10. Calls his child a liar if you bring up a subject your child has told you about.
11. Leaves the "parenting" upto his partner.
12. Lies in court to make the mother of your child to look bad.
13. Neglects his child and his responsibility.
14. Not bothered about spending birthdays and Christmases with his child.

A deadbeat doesn't want to work, yet still try and convince young gulliable girls that he does. He will spend their money, and make them work while they play video games. Deadbeat
A biological parent who willfully opts not to be an active participant in caring for their child, though oftentimes expresses negative emotions and/or words to the active parent or even the child for allowing a relative or the child’s step-parent to actively parent that child in their intentional absence. Although the biological parent may provide child support funds, they are typically insufficient; most often court-mandated; and retrieved through involuntary, automatic garnishments. An individual that fits this description, more oftentimes than not, has fathered or birthed multiple children by multiple individuals and, generally, neglect all said children at some point during or all of their adolescence...though expect that they themselves will be afforded the benefit of receiving those neglected children’s love and respect as if they earned the designation of mother or father when their flawed version of parenting is convenient for them. In summation, an individual who views himself or herself as the most important person in their life, who has opted to utilize the other parent to fulfill their own obsession with procreation without regard for the other parent’s or the child’s well-being at any point from the time of conception through the end of their own life.
It’s quite odd that a legal adult be trusted to mentor others’ children provided they are, themselves, a deadbeat.
There are conferences and seminars that teach financial independence, although someone should teach, ‘What it takes to identify a deadbeat before becoming their victim?’
