What is Catcher In The Rye?Catcher in the Rye was written by J. D. Salinger. It's a novel about a red hat wearing candyass who thinks all adults are phonies; failing to see the essential poseur that is so him! For some reason older Baby Boomers get all tear-eyed about this book, thinking it's the one that spoke for their generation which, unfortunately, we hear too much from already. Catcher In The Rye - what does it mean?a really great book that most people find disturbing just because it has too many curses and sex and stuff. but these haters are all really idiots and hypocites who act like they never said a curse or thought about sex in their whole life. Guy #1: Hey do u like the Catcher in the Rye? Catcher In The Rye - meaningOne of the great American novels. Fascinating, stream of consiousness style by the famouse recluse author J.D. Salinger. Any adolescent who reads this book should beable to relate to the narrator, Holden Caulfield. He struggles with alienation, nihilism, and disillusionment with the modern, post-industrial captitalist state. Catcher In The Rye is the only good book I ever read in highschool. Catcher In The Rye - definitionAn amzingly written book. I loved "The Catcher in the Rye" when i read it on my own, but now that my teachers RUINED it for me, i kinda try to avoid it. Catcher In The Rye - slangCatcher in the rye is about a kid named Holden Cualfield going through life over a few days period. Quote from Catcher in the Rye--- Catcher In The RyeThe best book ever. J.D. Salinger rocks my socks off, man. Catcher In The RyeIf you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is how many pages it is and what year it was written, and all that pointless kind of crap, but that stuff bores me, if you want to know the truth. Human- The Catcher in the Rye is a masterpiece! I have never in all of my life been able to relate so much to a literary character as I did with Holden Caulfield! He is my hero! Catcher In The RyeCatcher in the Rye is about some phony named Holden Caulfield. He goes around talking to kids and trying to give girls the time. That kills me. And he always talks about his dead brother and how great his goddam sister is and all. I think he's some big phony. He's always talking about how annoying everyone else is and how he wants to save kids and run away to live in the goddam woods, but he does the same thing everyone else does. I get quite a bang out of that. He'll probably be the kind of guy who always talks about how many miles he gets in his goddam car. What a phony. He's probably flitty. I mean he can never get really sexy with a girl. You know, really sexy. I can be very sexy sometimes. Women kill me. Anyway, he really drove me crazy while I was reading all about him, but after a while I started to miss him. You know, how when you have to shoot the crap with some phony about how they want to run off and live in the woods, but then you don't see them for a few weeks and you start to think what a nice guy they are. You probably don't understand. You're probably the kind of guy who posts stuff you think is funny on some phony website. Like that Oscar Wilde phony. That kills me. It really does. Reminds me of a phony I once knew, some mac who just came up with fake quotations nobody really give a damn about. It was a sad occurence though, it really was. You know the part that really got me. The part that sometimes he was actually funny. Stuff like that always kills me. It really does. Catcher in the Rye killed me. It really did. |
