One of the best bands I've heard yet. Period. They aren't emo, that's gotta be the most stupid label I've heard for their music yet. This is some of the best music I've heard in years, especially compared to all the other crap people listen to.

The coolest new heavy metal band from the UK set for world domination. after replacing their old monicker "Jeff Killed John", Matt (vocals/guitar), Padge (guitar), Jay (bass) and Moose (drums), signed with Sony through Visible Noise and released their mini-album "Hand of Blood". the Bridgend, south wales natives have been rewarded for their hard work with 2 top 40 singles and a top 30 album (The Poison), a kerrang! award for best british newcomer and a headlining slot on the kerrang! xxv tour in January. their album "The Poison" will be out in the USA early this year and they will tour the US with "It Dies Today".

Great Metalcore band. Signed by Trustkill Records in the USA. Currently touring the US. Their lyrics do have an emo side. They however, are NOT emo. And the people who listen to them are definitely NOT emo. Go to their concert, look and see. I saw 1 fat goth guy. No emos. The rest were crazed highschool metalheads.

Bullet For My Valentine - meaning
THEE most overated 'Metal Band' of this generation of Metal groups. They adhear to their record company's wishes, who are now the new brand of metal scaping the way for posers and naive fans. They have changed their sound to so they can be become popular, e.g, they were Nu-metal in the early 2000's when this music was at the height of popularity. Then that fad died, they next became Metalcore around the mid 2000's, because theis was now the new trendy style of Metal. Then that died, so they completely ripped of Post thrash pioneers Trivium and Lamb Of God, aswell as stealing many riffs from Iron Maiden and Slayer. Now trying just to be metal, singing about war and bloodshed, they're fans didn't like it, so they encorperated the Bullet formula, of Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, breakdown, Solo, guitar harmony, end. Singing about teenage love over 4 chords, and trundling along in pop music timing, with the Vocals heavily auto tuned.
They have done nothing new for metal, they just play to the trends, and try and look bad ass, but having those sweet sweet lyrics to make 13 year old girls cream in the front row. They are not one bit innovative, and always complain about sony not letting them do what they want, well why don't they move to nuclear blast or roadrunner then?, oh yeah, song give 'em a shit load of money.

A shitty metalcore band who, for some reason, everybody i no likes. They suck. They do not deserve to play metal. Anybody who is a huge fan of them is not a true metalhead. If you think they are okay, I think you're wrong, but I forgive you, as long as you like some real metal bands too. Fuckin Emo pieces of shit.

The band attempts to increase their reputation within the heavy metal community by covering songs by heavy metal bands, and turning up at inappropriate heavy metal festivals where it is quickly apparent they don't belong.
Bullet For My Valentines biggest financial weakness is it's fans, who are unable to fathom that their favourite band is in the genre of Emo; although their album sales are substantial enough to keep them is business, a large percentage of their fans aren't able to get permission from their parents to go see them in concert.

The greatest fucking band of all time!!! Anyone who says they are "emo" should fuck off. These guys are straight hardcore, heavy metal. Besides, there's nothing wrong with "emo" anyway. Matt Tuck is not only an amazing screamer but is a great singer as well and a badass guitarist. Michael "Padge" Paget is, in my mind one of the greatest guitarists in the world right now. Most of his shit is complicated to play and diificult to even think up. Jason "Jay" James is a great bassist who holds the insane rhythm of every Bullet For My Valentine song. Along with this, he is a totally brutal screamer. And last, but not least, Michael "Moose" Thomas is one of the top 5 drummers on the planet in my opinion. Just listen to the drumming in any of their songs. Bullet has 3 albums out right now. First is the 2005 EP, "Hand Of Blood", featurings songs such as "Hand Of Blood", "4 Words (To Choke Upon)", "Just Another Star" and "Curses". Their second, and first full length release is 2006's "The Poison" which includes the songs "Tears Don't Fall", "Suffocating Under Words Of Sorrow", "All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)", "Hit The Floor", And "The Poison". Their latest release, 2008's "Scream Aim Fire" shows the bands more metal side with songs like "Scream Aim Fire", Waking The Demon", "Hearts Burst Into Fire", "Eye Of The Storm", "Disappear" and "Ashes Of The Innocent". A very good metalcore band that takes influences from bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer. They've released two albums so far: The Poison and Scream Aim Fire.
Despite what people say, they are NOT emo. Emo is a style of hardcore punk. If you're going to call them emo because of their confessional lyrics, you might as well call Patsy Cline emo.

A band from Brigend, Wales. Their main genre is Metalcore, however they do pull from some Emocore. Their guitar is very metalish, and they have some really nice riffs. Their songs contain a lot of screaming, so if you don't like that type of singing, don't listen to them. They are very good live, and put on a great show. They recently released "The Poison", containing their most well-known song "Tears Don't Fall". They have four members, Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jason James and Michael Thomas.
