Buckethead - what is it?
An obnoxious guitarist who can play really fast. Since people stopped noticing guitarists who can fingertap like madmen in 1990, Buckethead decided he needed a gimmick, so he put a bucket on his head (lol!). His music is easy to identify. It usually sounds like a constant blur of notes that makes you feel slightly uncomfortable. Though a technically sound... an AMAZINGLY technically sound guitarist, Buckethead doesn't understand that sometimes playing too fast sounds like garbage. I mean, if you want to drive somewhere and get to a point in a car driving 300 miles an hour, you can try. But you're probly gonna hit some trees and people along the way.
Brian "Buckethead" Carrol is an asshole. If you want to hear someone play fast and have a musical point, grab a Primus record and try to ignore Les for a second so you can notice what Ler is doing.

The other definitions are retarded. Buckethead's true name isn't what MTV says it is. MTV is to music as KFC is to chicken. Buckethead is a very talented man, and his origins remain unkown. You may enjoy his music or not, it is very unique. He has been known to play with bands such as Deli Creeps and Praxis. He has played with Guns 'N Roses to make some money, and continues to do with his own projects, which is very respectible.
Correction: Unlike the other definition which says Buckethead does not play bass, he actually does. He has a custom double neck guitar/bass as you can see in the picture that has been uploaded.

Buckethead's, Elephant Mans Alarm Clock, has a great tune on it called Lurker At the Threshold. It's 9min 14sec long. Worth the listen all the way threw.

An extremely talented avant-garde musician and composer known best for his swift, fluid guitar shredding and tapping. Being multi-instrumental, he can play bass, drums and piano among other instruments. He also has an amazing ability to perform well live, and maintains a certain stage presence despite not showing his face. He's very awkward and mysterious, not much is known about him. Yeah, he wears a bucket on his head, but who cares? People who like other guitarists often criticize him by saying he plays too fast and doesn't have any emotion. But anyone who's listened to ten of his songs knows he plays almost every style of music from metal to funk and easy listening. There is no best guitarist, but this guy is damn good.
Once I listened to Buckethead song other than Jordan, I haven't listened to much since.
