Blink-182 - what does it mean?
A pop-punk band with three guys, Mark- base, Tom- guitar, and Travis- drums. They've been around for about 12 years now and started out with really good music, like Cheshire cat in '94 and Dude Ranch in '97. I think those were kick ass. They sounded the most punk in those. Thats also when they had Scott (who looked like fruit) on the drums before he left.
To th ppl who think blink is gay and suck because they say they are not punk are the f%cking gay ones...if they really sucked so bad then they wouldent have all these tributes out

A gay "punk" rock band that has became a hit mostly with teenage girls and some occasional skater fags. All of there songs deal with some type of girl or relationships making them repetitive and unoriginal. Guitar chords are repeated through out all songs with no change and bass is slow and boring. The only talanted member of the band is Travis Barker who's drum skills have been tragicaly wasted with the whinnying of Tom Delong. People think they are the best band ever and the idol of punk music, when they have no idea who the sex pistols or The Clash are. Open your fucking eyes.

Blink-182 is an american band, consisting of three members, Tom Delonge (singer, guitarist) Mark Hoppus (singer, guitarist) and Travis Barker (Drummer). Blink-182 is pronounced Blink 1-82, although many people say Blink 1-8-2.
Blink-182 is not a punk/punk rock band. All I see is people saying Blink-182 isn't punk. This is true, but as far as I know, Blink-182 never claimed to be punk in the first place. They have been labelled as many different genres: pop-rock, rock, indie, alternative, pop-punk etc. In my opinion Blink are a Pop-Punk band, pop is stuff like Rihanna, One Direction, Pink, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj. Punk is bands such as The Clash, The Who or The Ramones. People who write definitions just to point out that Blink-182 are 'poser punks' clearly know nothing about Blink-182, and shouldn't be writing about them.
Blink's fanbase isn't only teenage girls, emo's or skaters. And if you asked everyone at my high school whether they heard of blink, they won't have.
Tom's voice, is, in my opinion, beautiful. But lots of people will see at as extremely annoying and whiny. Tom has been in two other bands: Angels & Airwaves and Box Car Racer. Travis was also a member of Box Car Racer, as well as being the drummer for Mark Hoppus's second band: +44.

A very weak band. They have/had a large fan base mainly because no one these days knows what good music is. There is almost no skill involved(except for the drumming which is great). Almost anyone could pick up a guitar or bass and play half their songs. Not punk, just bad.
