It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. Originally developed and finalized by Mikhail Kalashnikov in the year 1947, the AK47 was meant to be a rifle for tank crews, who could not fit a full sized rifle into their tank. It was so successful that it was adopted by the Russian army, and exported to all of Russia's allies. It's most recognizable feature is its superb reliability, it will function in environments that other weapons would malfunction in. It fires 7.62 x 39mm ammunition(by comparison, an M16 fires 5.56 x 45mm).
