What is Aboriginal?
An adjective that describes people who inhabited a land before aliens, and no we don't mean little green people, came to colonise it. There are Aboriginal people all over the world. In fact some of the Australian people who write some of the definitions that disparage their first people are Aboriginal people of somewhere. First people is the more appropriate term because as someone indicated sometimes the people who were wherever first came by boat eg Maoris in NZ. Look it up. NZ is literally new land formed by volcanic eruptions. Polynesian seafarers got there before anyone else. Who knows how who got where first.
It is not just right wing racists that make racist comments about Aboriginal Australians, seemingly educated people make the some comments.
People who write urban dictionary entries that disparage Aboriginal Australians are insecure.
The red headed leader was found to have ancestors who were from an area that is currently known as the middle-east.

Aboriginal - what is it?
Refers to being 'native' to an area. Can relate to any native population in the world. Commonly used in Canada and Australia. Is mostly connected to the First Australian Nations.
The Aboriginal people of Australia - some proper terms for Aboriginal people include :- Koori (NSW & VIC), Murri (QLD), Palawa (TAS), Nunga (SA), Nyoongar (South WA) Archaelogical evidence shows existence of Aboriginal people here up to 60,000 years ago and the time keeps extending. This is older than anything previously found in Europe, Asia and the whole world.
Aboriginal people are survivors. The whites took the land, shot and killed our people, raped our women, took our children and now want to wrap our culture in bubble wrap and sell it to Japanese tourists. We are the oldest continuing culture on earth.
Aboriginal people are proud of who they are. We have a lot to offer Australia. We know things about this land that whites haven't even dreamed about, and care for country better than anyone.

What does "Aboriginal" mean?
Probably some of the most amazing and loyal people I've ever met. They are extremely protective and do whatever it takes to look after their loved ones. They are great to get along with and they have great hearts. Unique.
Did you see that aboriginal family standing up for there rights and their family? So loyal.

Unlike a lot of definitions on here, NOT Australian natives. They travelled there by boat, just like the English did.

The term Aboriginal derives from Latin Europe. The Aborigine were a people from Latium, now Lazio, in what is now known as Italy. This is part of European mythology. The original Aborigine were genocided by invading cultures. Their leader was Latinus, and his mother was Pandora.
The term Aboriginal is now arrogantly given to the first inhabitants of any lands that are invaded by Europeans, especially the English. The name is given because the invading forces are mocking the original inhabitants, that they will meet the same fate as the original Aborigine, but also to destroy their original identity by imposing upon them a false one. Acts of genocide. The term Indigenous is also used for this purpose because under western Roman law it means to be accepted into the English realm via parliament.
The use of Latin identities for first peoples and cultural others is not uncommon. Europeans called people of African heritage Negroes, and called people of Asian and Middle Eastern heritage Orientals. Palestinian Oxford educated academic and writer Edward Said tells western culture uses these Latin terms this within his book Orientalism. Said claims that the Latin identity terms are a generalisation of first peoples by western culture in order to construct laws, institutions and history to control cultural others.

The constant rape and enslavement resulted in fair skin Aboriginal people being born but not claimed by the white people and they and the full-bloods were forced onto reservations and missions to be 'bred out' and absorbed into the wider community. Today the Aboriginal race is thriving again and asserting their rights much to the dislike of the colonial overlords and their red-neck descendants.
