What is treaty?

Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty - Agreement Signed in Moscow in 1972 between the former Soviet Union and The United States, in which both parties agreed that each may have only two ABM deployment areas, so restricted and so located that they cannot provide a nationwide ABM defense or become the basis for developing one. This Treaty effectively reduced the the vast nuclear weapons capabilities of both nations and helped usher in a new era of non-proliferation. However in 2001, President Bush announced that he would withdrawal from this treaty, essentially slapping the global community, and one of America's biggest allies (Russia) in the face, and possibly launching America into a new cold war.

Prime example of how the Bush Administration fails to grasp the importance of foreign relations, international treaties, and the concept of geopolitics. Fine demonstration of the arrogance and hypocrisy of the Bush team, in that they can demand disarmament from other nations, while they expand their missile program and further deteriorate America's credibility. Treaty - what is it?

A gift treaty is an agreement that you make with your friends, family members, girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife that declares you will not exchange gifts on holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

"Once my brother and I started exchanging gift cards for 50 bucks on holidays we decided it was pointless so we agreed on a gift treaty."

What does "treaty" mean?

Almost the same as a Beer Truce, but in this case you give up drinking for an undetermined amount of time. No matter how much alcohol is left, you are either too drunk or too smart to take another drink.

Dude, I call a beer treaty. I'm almost too fucked up to drive.

Let's call a beer treaty 'cause Frank just passed out in the driveway.

If we don't call a beer treaty I'm afraid I might fuck that fat chick.

Treaty - what does it mean?

An agreement from the British to evacuate the posts in the West. They also promised to compensate American shipowners for seizures in the West Indies and to open up their colonies in Asia to American Ships. However the British did not concede to American demands that the rights of neutrals on the high seas be respected. As well John Jay committed the United States to paying pre-Revolutionary debts still owed to British merchants. Although Jay might have driven a hard bargain, this was a valuable treaty for the United States but also a humiliating one. Most of what the United States gained already legally belonged to it, and the treaty sacrificed principals of importance to a nation dependent on foreign trade.

Treaty - definition

When WW1 was over basically all the countries picked on Germany and made them sign the Treaty Of Versailles, making them take blame for the war.

If they didn't sign it they threatened to send the Allies to invade their country. The Germans felt this was rude because they didn't think the cause of the war was just their fault.
So they got screwed over pretty badly along with being badly in debt (especially to France).
- They lost colonies to other countries.
- Their military army shrunk to 100,000 men, no air force and only 6 battleships.

- They weren't allowed to join with german speaking Austria.
- They had to pay off a lot of debt (later fixed at £6600million), this included paying off with goods, such as letting the French mine coal in the Saarland.
- They weren't allowed to station troops in the Rhineland either.

Basically after WW1 no one liked them and they all decided to pick on them and make them pay for the war, even though they had no money.

Germany: This treaty of versailles is so unfair. It wasn't all our fault.

France, Belgian, America, Britian, Italy....: hahhhhahahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahaha.

Treaty

Was an excuse for every country to take the piss out of Germany and to put an end to World War One.
The treaty set certain requirements that Germany had to agree on and accomplish which were completely unfair to Germany but made sure Germany had no real choice but to agree. Germany got fucked over.

Germany: this "Treaty of Versailles" completely sucks!
Everyone: haha your so fucked!

Treaty

Any item or event that causes joy for the beholder. Like a "treat" that a small child would receive only much better.

"Hey would you be able to grab me a coke treaty while you are at the store?"

"My girlfriend gave me a nice blowjob treaty last night in bed"

"Hey Dave, do you have any decent treaties this week? I'll grab a ten pack if you do"
