What is the mission?
Originating in Scituate MA and often referred to as "Scituate Slang", a 'Mission' is when one person will hit up another (that they like, think is hot, etc) trying to hook up with them in a car or other sketchy spot. Missions are most likely take place In a parked car in a sketchy dark parking lot. This word has swept through the town and everyone knows the classic 'Mission Spots' where someone can take that significant other on a mission.
Joe: "Dude guess what? Me and Jessie missioned last night"
Cam: "Yo really? Where'd you go?"
Joe: "Ant Hill... Didn't get buffs or anything just a hook up"
Cam: "that's a classic spot bro... I'm surprised you didn't get bopped by any mission hunters"

The mission
One of the central districts of San Francisco, CA. It is the city's Latino district. It is famous for its historic buildings, its Mission burritos (the best in Northern California), and its murals.
Rich people who tour San Francisco for a limited time think that the Mission is the ghetto. That's kind of true, but the disdain some of these people take with them is unfortunate. The Mission district is large and complex, with variying socioeconomic areas, clusters of mini-communities, and several specialty stores found nowhere else. Native San Franciscans know it as one of the "cool" districts.
