What is such that it is?
a kind of apology for having named a poor exemplar of some category or class.
Sara: Hey, do you want to smoke up with us, Melissa?
Melissa: No, thanks... probably a good idea if at least one of us keeps a clear head, such that it is, tonight...
(in this example, Melissa uses "such that it is" to indicate that her head may not be the best example of a clear one even unimpaired by marijuana.)
Margaret: George, show Carla your penis... such that it is.
(In this example, Margaret is a humiliation dominatrix commanding George to present his penis to a third party for evaluation. Margaret uses "such that it is" to indicate that George's penis is in some respect not worthy to be counted as a penis, at all.
