Verb. To become so overwhelmed with excitement or euphoria that a person literally shits themselves, often without realising or caring.

Shit one - what is it?
v. To "get your shit in one sock" means to get organized, to "pull yourself together," to regain your composure. Having to use more than one sock to hold a given volume of feces is considered wasteful and inefficient, if by careful planning a single sock would do the trick. Thus, the essence of this phrase is a metaphor for thriftiness.
"Listen: you've been absent from class five days, you never turn in your homework on time, you refuse to take your Ritalin like a good boy, and your foul language is out of control! It is time to sit down one-on-one with the guidance counselor and get your shit in one sock, young man."

While taking a dump, a person simply produces just one big long piece of shit that amazes the human eye. Although, this will be the only piece of shit you're able to get out during your entire bathroom session, the joy that comes with it is immeasurable. Common feelings include deep satisfaction, amazement, relief, and a well sense of being.

This term originated in the US Navy, and a "sock" is a term for seabag. A sailor who was not organized would not be able to put all of his belongings in one bag to be ready for quick deployment. Hence, the need to "get your shit in one sock".
After watching someone perform a task really well, you might say "Wow, that guy really has his shit in one sock."
