Definder - what does the word mean?

What is safe word?

In an email thread, a word (usually irrelevant and strange in the context of the email thread) agreed to by the participating parties to change the subject or end the thread when the inappropriateness of the thread has reached its limit. This is so that someone on the email thread can let everyone else know that they feel like continuing the thread would only get too personal and cause shame.

Similar to a safe word in BDSM.

Bob: Notice her status says engaged as well…I wonder if this dude is her fiancé…or if that is why she has been abstinent?
Sue: I'm not even sure what to say but LOL about her "other pussy." She's a class act, right there. I just hope she wasn't friends with her co-workers.
Mary: That is exactly the reason I don't have a Facebook acct.
Jill: OMG…that was hilarious!!! Mary…..I don’t think we’d need to know about your escapades.
Bob: No, love caves are private.
Jill: I bet you are about ready for a visit to the love cave, aren't you, Bob??
Sue: BANANA! I said BANANA! Stop, dammit, stop! For the love of God, BAAAAANAAAANAAA!
Jill: Huh?
Sue: Banana is our email safe word. In order to prevent us from too much TMI, we need to put an end to this thread.

Safe word - what is it?

A word used as a signal to stop a sexual act, usually if it's too rough (ex: spankings, rough sex, anal sex)
WARNING! DO NOT in ANY given circumstances EVER use positive feedback as a safe word!! Some examples are "Daddy, yes!", "Please!", or "More!" You may think that you're going to remember that you should slow down, but c'mon let's get real here. It's going to get you even more excited.
Just be careful about what you agree upon.

Girl: ahh- SLOW DOWN!
Boy: *stops what he is doing* babe you used the safe word are you okay?
Girl: yea, but that got intense!
(Can have reversed/gay roles as well)

What does "safe word" mean?

In the practice of sado-masochism, a "safe word", is an agreed upon word uttered by the recipient masochist, when he/she can no longer tollerate any more pain administered by the sadist, during a session. Maybe also be used, to indicate they may need a temporary "break" in said session.

"Ouch...ouch...ouch...ouch...RED(safe word)!"

Safe word - what does it mean?

An agreed upon word, or set of words, used in any kind of sexual activity, not limited to BDSM play, that is uttered by any participant to communicate that they want the activity to be modified.

Sexual safe words could also be called "sexual trust words", and they're an especially good idea in any kind of sex play that is exploratory and/or new to any participant.

Different safe words can be created and agreed upon to mean different things, such as, "stop everything, right now!", "slow down, back off!", "don't stop!", etc.

Safe words should be ones that a participant isn't likely to use as part of the play. They can be complete code, like "Tibet" (stop), "Chicago" (slow down), and "Glesga" (don't stop), or more obvious, like "red", "yellow", and "green".

No kind of sex should EVER be forced on anyone- that's called rape! (which is totally different than indulging in an agreed upon rape fetish)- and the basic idea of safe words is to prevent rape from happening accidentally.

Safe words make for hot sex!

Thank god we had a safe word, the idjit hadn't met a nail file in his whole fucking life!

"Yes, yes, more, more, Glesga, Glesga, please, give it to me, give it to me!" (Glesga is my favorite safe word, dontcha know, Sweetie?).

I could barely speak, but the safe word was easy to remember, so, when she went from four fingers to all five I managed to gasp, "yellow"- then a moment later I was screaming, "green! green! green!".

Safe word - meaning

In BDSM community, a word (usually irrelevant and strange in the context of the sexual situation) agreed by the participating parties to cease the activity. This is so that the submissive partner(s) can say "stop" and "no" as often as they want during the session and use the safe word when they actually mean it.

Top: *whip whip*
Bottom: Ouch, no, stop, please stop ... FISHSTICKS!
Top: Huh?
Bottom: Dammit, that's our safe word - now seriously, fishsticks!
