What is our lady on the halfshell's?
a concrete statue of the virgin mary which is backed by a shell shaped form. Frequently seen on the front lawns of the faithful.In this incarnation she looks disturbingly like something found in shellfish. Frequently the shell shaped back is painted light .blue to make the statue stand out more
