A way of admiring someone of the opposite (or same) sex who is attractive where you look them up an down as they approach you, when their right in front of you and as they walk away. Usually done while not speakiing to the person.

What does "once over" mean?
When two girls or women meet each other for the first time then they proceed to look each other over to see if the other is a threat socially or economically.

Doing a once over on a criminal is not enough to get a detailed description to a police detective.
