What is nedm?
NEDM Stands for "Not Even Doom Music". This word started from a site called YTMND. When a YTMND user found a forum were a German guy was posting a link to a man burning his cat alive. someone commented that the video "didn't even include doom music". the guy who posted this animal cruelty video is now arrested and all but one video site remains.
That guy who burnt his cat didn't NEDM it. That guy is a total baster how could he even do that to cat. That shit fuck can go burn in hell.

Nedm - what is it?
Acronym for "Not Even Doom Music". It is used to express that nothing would make the subject at hand cool. Not Even Doom Music, which supposedly makes most anything cool.
Dude, NEDM would make burning cats cool.
What does "nedm" mean?
NEDM is an acronym of Not Even Doom Music, to understand, there is a backstory.
A video was posted upon the internet in which two guys take a cat and force it into a hamster cage. They then proceeded to douse the cat with a flammable fluid, and then set the cat alight. This caused an uproar on the forum it was posted upon and was deleted, and authorities were noted. The guys who made the video went to jail.
Later, someone who had a copy of the video posted it on the fad site YTMND, with the music from the very first level of action game DOOM playing in the background. This was mostly met with horror and condemnation, although a few individuals voted 5 stars on the YTMND, in favour of the site. After seeing this, an incensed YTMND member voted 1 (the lowest score) on the sites of everyone who voted 5. On the comments, they said that Not Even Doom Music justifies burning cats. This became a fad very quickly, where people created YTMNDs with pictures of cats and references to cats and fire. Each NEDM YTMND typically has a picture of Happy Cat (A happy grey cat) and the song We Interrupt This Program by Coburn.

Short-lived fad at ytmnd.com. The usual nedm has a gray cat and some reference to fire with a dance song by Coburn playing in the background. Actually stands for "Not Even Doom Music"...justifies the burning of a cat.

Apparently, A YTMND was created which featured a rather brutal act of animal cruelty - a .gif of a kitten being placed in a cage, doused with gasoline, and then lit on fire. A YTMND regular, 'Spotz', approved of the site enough to give it 5 stars due to its usage of music from "Doom". Another user, 'titanium-gecko', appalled that anyone would upvote such brutality, proceeded to give 1-star votes to all the sites of those who did. When confronted by Spotz, who stated his reasoning was simply for the featured music, his reply, posted on one of Spotz's sites, was as follows: "Okay Spotz. Since you do not "condone" burning kitten your sites have been 3'D until further notice. Still... nothing justifies 5'ing burning kittens. Not even Doom music." The acronym that this comment produced has since spiraled into an uncontrollable fad which is an amalgam of those who understand the origin and an ever increasing group who have no idea what it means, or do but do not find the fad justified. They have made sites featuring the acronym, elements from past sites (i.e. chapstick, a cat; live, dead, burned or otherwise), completely unrelated elements (scenes from the show 'Lost') or even other fads, mostly to either express their displeasure or to jump on the bandwagon. Some simply like the loop of the Coburn song (from the original site, "http://nedm.ytmnd.com/") which has become the unofficial soundtrack, and desire the full track.
