Modern Gothic Rock was born in the late seventies when punk bands like Joy Division, The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Bauhaus, Birthday Party and The Damned Experimenting With The Dark Atmosphere and Morbid Lyrics The Doors and The Velvet Underground Did a Decade Before, But Added a More Post Punk and New Wave Sound to It rather then The Psychedelic, Avant Garde and Blues Rock The Doors and The Velvet Underground Where Famous For. Goth Music like Acid Rock, Heavy Metal and Punk Created its own Subculture in the late Seventies and Early Eighties when Fans Of the Music starting dressing in all Black, Using Heavy Amounts of Makeup, Dyeing there Hair Black, Fans Of Victorian Era literature and had a weird obsession with B-Grade Horror Films.
