Getting Buttoned: Getting buttoned means you were sent to voicemail after someone saw you were calling. They pressed the end call, or the ignore button on their phone to avoid talking to you.
1. An't that a bitch my brother just buttoned me...and his inbox is full I can't even leave him a message. There is nothing worse than getting buttoned by my own brother.
2. Yo I called that ho we met at the mall and she buttoned me... how am I going to get dat ass if she keeps buttoning me?

Someone calls whom you don't want to talk to and you silence the ringer on your phone. It's usually given to annoying or persistent callers.
