What is garment?
An activity practiced by Mormons and non-Mormons, where individuals engage in the pursuit of spotting Mormon garment outlines in public settings. The objective of Garment Watch is to discreetly identify the unique undergarments worn by Mormons.
Participants of Garment Watch exhibit keen observational skills, often scanning crowds in search of subtle hints such as fabric drapes, shirt tucks, or bulges that might indicate the presence of garments.

Garment - what does it mean?
Garments are clothing that Mormons (better stated as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS) wear to remind them of who they are. Just as a clergy would wear robes, Mormons believe garments are sacred and used to remind them of the commitments they have to their Father in Heaven. Instead of being an outward expression, as a clergy robe, it is an inward expression of their commitment. They don't believe it gives them magic powers, or wards off evil spirits. Garments, to Mormons, have a deep meaning of their personal commitment to God and their Commitment to follow Christ.

these are the underwear and T-shirts for Mormons that are spun on Mormon looms. They ain't Hanes, nor are they Fruit of the Looms or BVDs. They are just "temple garments" and the labeling on the packages say just that.
When I was in Salt Lake City I went to a Z.M.C.I. department store (an LDS counterpart to Lazarus, maybe Macys). In the mens clothing department there were packages of temple garments on the shelves. So one thing I've heard about the Mormon faith was true, I also saw packages of these undies in department stores thruout southern Idaho, where there is a strong Mormon presence.
