What is dog in heat?

When a female dog is "ripe" for mating with a male dog. This term is also applied to humans when a female is horny she may be considered "in heat"

Guy 1: "That girl practically ripped your clothes off at the bar!"

Guy 2: "I dont know what to say man, she was like a dog in heat!"
